The Minories Boiler Appeal
Written by Justin on November 24, 2024
The Minories art gallery has welcomed over 30,000 visitors in the last 12 months and has become one of the most popular visitor attractions in the city centre. During October, the Minories discovered that its boiler is at the end of its life and needs replacing by the end of this year.
The boiler’s age means that they cannot get replacement parts, so they will have to buy and get fitted a new boiler which will cost £7,500. This unexpected cost comes on top of high electricity and gas bills associated with running the rare Grade II * listed building between November to March.
The Minories does not receive any financial support from local or county councils and has not got this level of funds available to meet this significant and unexpected cost so is asking people or organisations to help.
They have a just giving page set up and the link is here A donation of at least £5 would be extremely welcome, however if you could spare more it would be very welcome .
